The German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB) has awarded the Flexiparks Vienna North II logistics project in Stockerau with Gold certification. The certification according to DGNB standards evaluates not only the energy quality of the building and material selection, but also aspects such as deconstructability, space efficiency, and lifecycle costs – criteria that are increasingly gaining importance in industrial construction. For planners of logistics real estate, the project could develop reference character, as it demonstrates that large-volume hall buildings with high demands for flexibility and cost-effectiveness can be realized in compliance with sustainability requirements. The cross-border application of the German DGNB system in Austria also underscores the growing harmonization of sustainability assessments in the DACH region.
