Creaton is entering the building-integrated photovoltaic market through a cooperation with solar startup Autarq. The new photovoltaic roof tile positions itself between fully integrated systems like Tesla Solar Roof and conventional roof-mounted systems. The solution is aimed primarily at architects and building owners who want to combine a visually homogeneous roof surface with power generation without sacrificing the proven ceramic substructure. Details on electrical performance, fire rating according to DIN 4102, or building authority approval have not yet been communicated.
