A development that could simplify masonry construction in the area of building services installations: Schlagmann Poroton has introduced the Pz-I, a fillable installation brick that is intended to enable DIN-compliant installation walls. The brick is designed so that sanitary and electrical installations can be integrated into the masonry wall in accordance with standards, while at the same time restoring the static and building physics properties through filling. For planners, this could represent an alternative to conventional pre-wall installations, particularly in multi-story residential construction, where installation routing previously often required separate stud work constructions.
