Tile adhesive is a ready-mix mortar product engineered with carefully calculated ingredients including OPC cement">Portland cement, carefully selected fine sand, and additives to improve the characteristics of tile adhesive. This formulation contrasts with traditional cement-sand mixtures, which rely on river-mined sand with inconsistent grain size distribution and purity.
Traditional cement-sand mortar requires bricks to be soaked for at least one day prior to installation and demands thick application layers to achieve flatness and adhesion. Weber tile adhesive eliminates the soaking step entirely and requires only clean water for mixing. The product is packed to facilitate transportation, reduces dust, and keeps the construction area cleaner.
Weber tile adhesive can be used to place tiles on the surface of old bricks, on smooth cement surfaces, on wood surfaces with lining, or on other special surfaces. High-grade brick adhesive addresses installation scenarios that conventional cement-sand mixtures cannot reliably solve, including glass mosaic, granite tiles 60×60 cm or larger, and smooth or non-absorbent surfaces.
Tile adhesive is applied using notched trowels to coat the surface, providing high adhesive performance. Tiles can be quickly adjusted to align after placement. Grouting can be conducted within 24 hours after placing the tile without waiting for water to evaporate.
