Swedish steel manufacturer SSAB is investing 3.3 billion SEK (approximately 300 million euros) in a new production line for special steels in Sweden. The investment targets high-strength and wear-resistant steels that are used, among other things, in structural engineering and load-bearing steel structures. With this investment, SSAB is sending a signal for the European location and the availability of higher-strength structural steels according to EN 10025 and comparable standards, despite the strained market situation.
