Schlüter-Systems is expanding its offerings for energy-efficient building modernization and is targeting heating system replacements in existing buildings. The move comes at a time when the Building Energy Act (GEG) will gradually mandate the switch to renewable heating from 2024 onwards, and low-temperature floor heating systems are gaining importance for the operation of heat pumps. Until now, the company has been primarily known for laying systems and decoupling solutions in the tiling sector. The strategic reorientation targets a market in which, according to the German government, around six million heat pumps are to be installed by 2030 – many of them with underfloor heating as a heat distribution system.
